Can white people ever know what it's like to be a person of color? Of course not. Additionally, men will never truly experience the sexism women face. Nevertheless, movies can make such oppressions more relatable. This case study examines films which provoke empathy for oppressed groups. Sociological themes include the outsider perspective, white bias, and sexism.
