This video explains how and why COVID-19 cases are charted for international comparisons. This is not the only way to chart this data, but the video discusses the advantages of using a logarithmic scale over a linear scale, as well as what is concealed when we do this (like population size, for example). Regardless, the video raises some interesting points on what information is contained in and excluded from data visualizations on the novel coronavirus.
